Harmony: Anxiety and Depression in Children: Assessment and Treatment Study

This study aims to examine how anxiety and depression are assessed and treated in children. Participating families will receive a comprehensive diagnostic assessment and, if eligible, may also receive evidence-based therapy.

Who Can Participate:

  • Children ages 8-12 and their Caregiver
  • Child esperiencing anxiety, depression, or other emotional/mood concerns
  • Must be able to attend in-person sessions.

Participating families will receive a comprehensive diagnostic assessment and, if eligible, may also receive evidence-based therapy. Services are provided at no cost.

  • Compensation is provided for follow up sessions

Memory and Depression Study

HippoCamera and Depression Study

Principal Investigator: Valerie Sainterant

This study is interested in researching if hippoCamera memory replay can help increase the mood of older adults with depression, while it also helps improve memories.

Who Can Participate:

  • Adults 65 years of age and/ older
  • Those without a history of seizures
  • Must own a smartphone/table with a camera

Duration:

  • Participation will include an in-person visit to obtain a medical history, some measurements (height, weight, blood pressure, etc.), and draw a single vial of blood. The entire meeting will take no longer than 40-45 minutes.

Mindful Pain Management Strategies

Principal Investigator: Adam Hanley

The purpose of this study is to understand how mindfulness practice affects individuals with chronic pain.

Who Can Participate:

  • Adults 18 and older
  • Diagnosed with Chronic Pain
  • No formal mindful training
  • Not currently pregnant

Duration:

Participants receive four, 30-minute, manualized treatment sessions led by a trained therapist and prescribed daily at-home mindfulness practice. All appointments will be in-person and will take place at the Brain Science and Symptom Management Center, located at FSU's Innovation Park.

Compensation is up to $150.

WoMBAT- ADHD Assessment and Treatment for Children

This study is a no-cost comprehensive evaluation and non-medication treatment for ADHD.

Who Can Participate:

  • Children ages 5-12 and their Caregiver
